Do you love meeting and talking to new people? Join our team of tour guides! A Dallas Arboretum tour guide is a volunteer who takes groups on a fee-based, prearranged tour of the Arboretum, scheduled by the Rental Department. During special events, free tours may be regularly scheduled to drive higher customer volumes on less visited days. Take our training to learn more.
The mission of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is to build and maintain a public garden and arboretum which promotes the art, enjoyment, and knowledge of horticulture, while providing opportunities for education and research.
Volunteering at the Arboretum provides a wonderful opportunity to be a part of the beauty of our 66 acres, providing a welcoming and informational atmosphere to our hundreds of thousands of visitors 362 days a year from 9am to 5pm.
Whether in direct contact with visitors or working behind the scenes with our horticultural or office staff members, you can contribute to our success in providing festivals, events, educational programs, activities, and beauty to local, national, and international visitors of all ages. Come visit with our volunteer management staff about the numerous opportunities available.
