We want to thank you so much for your interest in volunteering at The Alliance! We are a small staff with a lot of big ideas, constant events, and HUGE goals! We are constantly fighting to put ourselves out of business; we will test, educate and feed the needy until there is a CURE for HIV and other STDs! And now you’ve made the decision to fight along with us... we are humbled!

Your first stop is a brief tour, orientation and training session here in our office. Please pick us and sign up and as soon as we get the boring paperwork out of the way, we can get down to the good stuff; Drag Bingo, testing events at area nightclubs, visiting local churches, food drives, and even such thrilling tasks such as ... ANSWERING THE PHONES!

The initial training session should only take about half an hour, please dress comfortable; no need to dress up! For any of you who are interested in testing events and are certified to draw blood, please bring any copies of your training certificates or degrees. For anyone who would like to be involved with transporting staff or assets to events or two and from the food bank, please be prepared to let me make a copy of your current driver’s license.

After the general training session, we will speak briefly about which programs you would like to focus your time with us on, and get you signed up for shifts in the office, get you on mailing lists for event production, or set up times for you to meet with the Prevention and Testing staff to go over procedures and upcoming remote testing events.
