Volunteers are a vital part of our team in caring for our patients and their families. Opportunities for volunteers include:
Direct Patient Contact - Provide companionship to patients. You may talk with them and listen to the stories of their lives. You might play cards, read to them, or just sit together and watch television. Having a supportive presence is incredibly valuable to our patients.
Provide support to families and caregivers. Activities may include providing a break to the caregiver, running errands, making meals, or light housekeeping.
Community Outreach - represent the agency in the community
Clerical Support - support the office operations of the agency
Special Skills/Therapies - massage, art, music, pet, or other therapies.
Bereavement Program - provide support during the grieving process, and assistance at annual memorial services.
