Kids Saving the Rainforest (KSTR) is looking for a Wildlife Education Intern to support our Biologist in the educational activities at the KSTR’s wildlife rescue center and sanctuary. We are looking for an active, passionate individual to help us elevate our community scholastic programs. The Education Intern must be extremely dedicated to animal conservation and as well as education and community outreach and involvement.

Reporting to the KSTR Regente and in partnership with the Biologist, the Wildlife Education Intern will have an opportunity to participate in the following activities:

  • Managerial education work
  • Assess effectiveness and all aspects of tours
  • Manage community-based educational programs
    • Canvasing area hotels and rental homes on wildlife education
    • Hosting community events on KSTR property (Sloth Day, Monkey Day, etc.)
    • Evaluate educational presence at local farmers’ market
  • Pilot new signage scheme for sanctuary
  • Teaching and program implementation
  • Conduct tours at Animal Sanctuary
  • Reintroduce Kids Camp to children of the area
Visit local schools and teach kids in different grades

Requirements & Commitment

  • Must be at least 18
  • minimum of three months.
  • You must cover all travel expenses as well as room and board which is $800 per month.
