Yard Work Volunteers

Council on Aging in Union County has a need for individual and groups of volunteers to complete yard work & minor home safety repairs for seniors who have a hard time doing the work themselves.

Yard work includes raking leaves, trimming hedges, mowing lawns, cleaning windows, cleaning gutters, weed-eating, gardening, etc., depending on the need of the homeowner.

Home repairs include installing handrails & grab bars, building wheelchair ramps, checking smoke detectors, changing light bulbs, fixing minor plumbing leaks, etc.

This is a great opportunity for employers, civic groups, churches, and other groups to complete a team project.

Volunteer dates/times are flexible! In other words, our volunteers are able to either pick a day that fits into their schedule and we can arrange projects on the selected day, or we can contact you as seniors request help.

If you are interested in supporting our mission to help older adults remain safely in their homes, we would be delighted to work with you! We have job requests of all sizes throughout Union County. Grab a group of friends or work individually.
