Sexual Assault and Crime Victims Assistance Program

The Sexual Assault and Crime Victims Assistance Program relies on volunteers to help provide services to victims/survivors of crime. Volunteers assist on the 24 hour hotline by providing:

  • Information and referrals
  • Phone counseling
  • In-person advocacy for forensic exams

Volunteer Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Complete a 40+ hour volunteer training
  • Sign up for a minimum of 3 hotline shifts monthly
  • Commit to a minimum of 6 months
  • Attend monthly in-service meetings
  • Complete 10+ hours of continuing education annually (provided by agency staff)
