Description: The Asian American Donor Program (AADP) is hosting marrow/stem cell registration drive in the bay area. AADP will be registering individuals from the community to be volunteer bone marrow/stem cell donors. Volunteer donors have the opportunity to save a life by donating their marrow/stem cell to patients who have been diagnosed with a life threatening blood disease such as leukemia or lymphoma.

It only takes 10 minutes to register as a donor by completing a registration form and a buccal swab kit.

Volunteers will be trained and educated in:

Importance of registering ethnic bone marrow/stem cell donors.

Process of the bone marrow/stem cell registration drive.

Handing out informational flyers to the community.

Trained in using "swab kits".

Mission Statement

Asian American Donor Program (AADP) is dedicated to increasing the availability of potential stem cell donors for patients with life threatening diseases curable with a stem cell transplant.

Description

AADP conducts donor registration drives in the community at religious facilities, colleges, fairs and festivals and corporation. We also mail registration kits to individuals not able to make it to a drive we are hosting in the community. AADP also helps coordinate search effors in Asia.
