We are seeking New Talent.... Can you sew, crochet or knit? If so, let's us know !
We welcome anyone who desires to share themselves.
How much time a volunteer desires to donate is strictly the individual's choice.
We have flexible hours to accommodate your schedule.
Volunteering is a great way to give back to your fellow man. At one time in our lives, we will need someone to lean on.
Volunteers will be assigned to patients who either reside in their homes or in skilled-nursing facilities.
Volunteers will not be asked to complete tasks directly related to patient care, e.g., bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, etc.
A request for a volunteer may include,but not limited to, reading, singing, arts & crafts, active listening - discussions about the patient's life history, running errands to do "light grocery shopping"(10 items or less), answering the telephone, assisting with writing letters and cards, etc.
At no cost to the prospective volunteer, a criminal background check is to be completed before becoming an active volunteer.
For liability we ask for every active volunteer to furnish proof of automobile insurance.

Graceland Hospice Care is a grassroots organization who is flourishing, every member on the team has previous hospice experience or arrived with an acute medical background, our physicians are experts in the delivery of the hospice philosophy, we are community oriented and dedicated to "doing it right" the first time. We provide hospice services to patients wherever they call home and are committed to providing quality, compassionate care to patients and their families at end-of-life.
