Northwestern University, one of the nation’s top research institutions, is looking for healthy 8th graders to join a paid research study to see how the world they live in affects their heart and health.

By participating in the study you will:

Help scientists make big discoveries.
Help researchers find information that could improve medicine, education, or other support services to help teens like you.

Get unique information about your own health.
Gain insights into your body and mind. Get state-of-the-art medical tests including an MRI, brain scan, and sleep analysis.

Get compensated for your time.
Participants in the research study will be rewarded up to
$450 for participation, plus travel costs.

Description

The My World, My Heart Study is a research study aimed at better understanding different risk factors for heart disease that we think may begin to emerge during adolescence. We are recruiting healthy 8 th graders and one of their parents to help us learn how things like adolescents’ beliefs, social relationships, and brain development affect their health as they transition from 8 th grade to high school.
