RT Direct is a handyman program consisting of various handyman teams made up of 2-5 volunteers. Handyman teams will provide various home repairs and modifications for homeowners.
RT Direct teams may help finish or fix work previously done by volunteers, help on larger projects like Rebuilding Day or Building a Healthy Neighborhood, or complete minor home repairs throughout the year.
This program will help us to impact the lives and homes of more low-income homeowners than ever before. Rebuilding Together Northeast Ohio is looking for volunteers in Cuyahoga, Lake, Medina, Portage, Stark, and Summit County. This program is an amazing opportunity for anyone looking to give back and make an impact on the lives of those most in need in their community.
We are looking for volunteers who are:
o Are knowledgeable or trainable in minor home repairs
o Are free during the week and occasional weekends
o Are comfortable working in various situations
o Are able to work quickly and effectively
o Have their own form of transportation
o Are willing to submit to a background check
Volunteers will need to complete a background check and attend training sessions before going into the field to provide home repairs

Description
Rebuilding Together Northeast Ohio is a local nonprofit that provides accessibility and safety repairs for low-income, elderly, disabled and veteran homeowners. We do not construct new homes, but work with existing housing bringing volunteers from all walks of life together to help eligible recipients remain warm, safe, and dry in their homes.
We are part of a national organization with more than 165 affiliates across the United States, making us the largest home repair and renovation program in the country. To date, more than 3,000 homeowners have been served in our regional service area.
