The volunteer will provide information, directions, and assistance in a friendly, courteous manner to visitors and patients as they enter the hospital thereby enhancing the image of the hospital as a caring institution.

-Warmly greet patients and families as they enter the facility.
-Direct patients to admissions staff for assistance.
-Provide information and direction to patients and visitors. Escort guests as needed.
-Maintain lobby area to make sure it is neat and attractive.
-Monitor how long patients and visitors have been waiting and check with department staff to provide an update regarding their expected wait time.
-Bring paperwork and/or patients to the appropriate department.
-Respect privacy of patients/residents by keeping information confidential.
-Respect and be tolerant of cultural practices and spirituality of others.
-Provide patients with wheelchair assistance, disinfect wheelchairs, and/or locate wheelchairs as needed.
-Open and direct communication with department manager regarding daily operations.
