Volunteer Associate Theatre Director needed to assist in the direction of TEA (Theatre for Empowerment and Advocacy) for DACA and Refugee and Immigrant community education and advocacy for immigrants nd refugees/

Associate Theatre Director will select stories for dramatization, will help in the creation of a script, will assist in the recruitment and selection of actors for the videotaped performances of the dramatizations, will assist in the direction of the production and videotaping of the skits and will develop an actual play based on DACA success and woe stories and other stories of adversity for immigrants and refugees. The Associate Director will also assist in the dissemination of the videotapes on You Tube and through other venues.

The specific purpose of this corporation is for service, research and training:

  1. To provide counseling, psycho- educational services and cultural awareness programs for newcomer families and their children that is respectful of ethnic values and diverse views, including State Laws pertaining to Child Protection, Domestic Violence, Educational, Immigration and other areas.
  2. To provide a setting for professionals who work with stressed families in newcomer and other circumstances to gain knowledge and skills to help them be effective in their work.
  3. To develop a knowledge base for dissemination of practices, methods and concepts for use in the broad mental health and Social Services field.
