Looking for volunteer coaches for our Wildcat youth baseball/softball program. We offer recreational leagues for the following age divisions:

  • T-Ball (Ages 5-6)
  • Machine Pitch (Ages 7-8)
  • Player/Coach Pitch (Ages 9-10)
  • Wildcat Baseball (Ages 11-12)
  • Wildcat Baseball (Ages 13-14)
  • Girls Developmental Fast Pitch Softball (Ages 9-12)

Games played on Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu depending on the age division. Locations vary. All leagues play an 8-game schedule. Game times start at 6pm and later. Practices are up to the volunteer coach in terms of frequency, times and location. Equipment provided for all divisions except 13-14 year old.

Mandatory coaches meeting is May 13th (T-Ball and Machine Pitch) and May 14th (All Other Leagues) at the Foster Community Center. Rules, expectations, and many other items covered at the meeting. Please contact us well in advance of this meeting if you are interested in coaching.

Lansing Parks and Recreation offers a variety of programs for all ages and abilities. We also operate 114 parks and over 16 miles of river trail. Within all of this, we have a volunteer opportunity for everyone. From one time special events, after school/summer mentoring, coaching to park beautification, we have it all.
