When a person is on hospice care, they often feel like they have no control over their life anymore. Getting their hair cut is one way they can still feel in control and feel good about themselves.

Please consider sharing your time and talents by giving our Faith Hospice patients the hair care they deserve. Scheduling is very flexible. You decide how many and how often you want to do, it can be once a month, every other week or weekly. There is no set schedule.

Hairstylist volunteers must be licensed and go through online training, which is done in the comfort of your own home.

At Faith Hospice, we provide comfort care to those with a life-limiting illness or condition as well as support to their families. Our team of professionals, including doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice aides and volunteers, serves patients in a variety of settings.

If you or a loved one have been diagnosed with a life-limiting or life-threatening illness, call Faith Hospice today at (616) 235-5113. Faith Hospice provides care "wherever you put your head down to sleep at night" including private homes, assisted living or skilled nursing facilities and hospitals. Faith Hospice also provides care at Trillium Woods, our unique hospice residence in Byron Center.
