Handymen and women are needed to assist Preserve A Home site supervisors with semi-skilled and skilled tasks on Preserve A Home projects around the county. Habitat for Humanity's Preserve A Home program supports low-income home owners with needed home repairs. These vary from minor to major, and include: installing energy-efficient windows, repairing electrical wiring, converting bathroom showers to accommodate wheelchair/walker access, building accessible ramps, and much, much more.
PAH projects take place throughout Ventura County, and volunteers can support any projects they choose, and on whichever day(s) - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday. With a commitment of 2 days per month, you arrive at 8am and stay a minimum of 4 hours, preferably until clean-up - between 2 and 3pm.
