Please come and be a part of our story! Every day, seniors spend hours in isolation. Just a brief visit by one of our Home Delivered Meals (Meals on Wheels) delivery drivers makes a difference in their lives.
YOU can make a difference in the lives of our elderly! By delivering a hot meal and a friendly smile to our clients, you can change the way they spend their days. Meals on Wheels is not only a hot meal daily, but an opportunity to make sure that our clients have a daily Well-Check to make sure they are doing well in their home.
We serve over 400 meals a day to the home bound seniors throughout Marion County, FL. The joy that we see on their faces when we visit them is so rewarding! Without you , these folks would have to go to a home, or worse yet, go without food.
Each delivery route consists of 5-10 clients, and takes about 45 minutes to 1.5 hours to complete. There are several pick up locations throughout the county and pick up time is generally around 10:00 am Monday thru Friday. We even have some 2 person "teams" of folks delivering together.
The best part is that you can pick what days you want to Volunteer! You can either volunteer every day of the week or choose what days and how may you want. Every single Volunteer is important to us. So, pick up the phone and call 352-620-3501 to speak to Amy Brault , our Volunteer Coordinator, OR come by to see us at Marion Senior Services, 1101 SW 20th Ct., Ocala, Fl 34471
THANK YOU FOR MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF OUR SENIORS!
