Salesforce & JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Kids’ Day
The Salesforce & JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Kids’ Day is Indiana’s largest free outdoor festival just for kids! On the second Saturday of May, kids take over Monument Circle for a Month of May celebration that’s sized for them. With interactive, educational displays in a carnival-like atmosphere, Kids’ Day gives children the opportunity to stretch their minds and their muscles.

Opportunity: When volunteering for the Kids’ Day you will be able to see kids so excited about all the free stations that are available to them. You have the opportunity to be an Ask-me person or an Event information person answer questions that people might have throughout the day. You could help with any of the games, inflations or other stations that the 500 Festival is sponsoring during Kids’ Day. Here you would be able to see the kid’s smiles and see firsthand how happy the kids are to be there.
Salesforce & JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run
The 500 Festival brings its community celebration of the Indianapolis 500 to Indiana families for the 24th annual JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run. Part of JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Kids’ Day, this non-competitive fun run is designed just for children ages 3 - 10. It is a great way to introduce kids to the basics of running and enjoy the excitement of a race - including the start and finish line production, a massive cheering section, a trip through runner’s service and the occasional celebrity siting!

Time: 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
Opportunity: You will be helping register the kids the day of, helping move the little participants through the start line, or even help by giving them there medals at the end of the race. All the Kids received a medal and snacks at the end and are so happy to have finished the race, so this is a big event that volunteers can help with!

Description
No other singular sporting event in the world has a legacy like the Indianapolis 500. No other event has shaped and defined a city and state and their people like the Indianapolis 500.
The 500 Festival, a not-for-profit volunteer organization, was created in 1957 to organize civic events celebrating the greatest race in the world. Over the past 49 years, the 500 Festival has grown to become one of the largest festivals in the nation.
Last year, nearly 500,000 Hoosiers and visitors participated in festival activities throughout the month of May. Whether they were athletes running the Mini, fourth grade students participating in the Education Program, families enjoying the state's largest festival for kids, or spectators being dazzled by one of the nation's premier parades, they were there, celebrating the legacy.
