The role of the studio monitor is to maintain the clay studio and glaze room so it is clean, organized and ready for members and classes to use. When people drop in provide them with information about the studio, its programs and gather contact information for further followup. Assist Drop In's and students as appropriate. Assist with glaze preperation, clay recycling, kiln loading and kiln firing.
Skills: Ability to follow studio cleaning guidelines. Friendly, outgoing and willing to share information about the studio. Basic knowledge of working with clay. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

The studio offers outstanding artistic, educational, and collaborative opportunities in ceramic arts to everyone in the community at large. It is a resource for personal and professional development for everyone interested in ceramics, including children, inquisitive beginners, off and on hobbyists, collectors, and emerging and experienced artists.
