HeavenTrain Bus

HeavenTrain is a brightly colored bus crafted to bring the message of Christ, love, and community to children and families in the urban Central Cleveland neighborhood. It runs every 2nd and 4th Saturday from April-December, and has been serving the community for over 35 years!

Energy is in the air as kids run full force to jump onto the bus, with music and activities all around! We meet as a group, and go to 5 different sites to reach out to children and their parents with a short Bible message, games, and a healthy snack.

We are looking for volunteers with their CDL License to help drive the HeavenTrain bus to each of our sites on select Saturdays. If you are interested in keeping HeavenTrain on the road, we want to hear from you!

The safety of the children we serve is very important to us! Our process is designed to ensure volunteers are well-prepared to serve the children in the community.

This volunteer opportunity does require the following:

  • Application
  • 3 references
  • CDL License
  • Background Check (or a recent copy from the last 2 years)
  • 1-hour "Ministry Safe" sexual abuse online training

For more information, contact: Ashley Kennedy at 440 221 7697 or email at service@urbanlighthouse.org. We are excited to serve with you!
