SPECIAL OLYMPICS SWIM TEAM HEAD COACH NEEDED
The Head Coach for the Dolphins Special Olympics Aquatics Team plans the work-outs for the team and shares them with the Assistant Volunteer coaches during practice (Mondays 4:45 pm - 5:30 pm and Fridays 4 pm - 4:45 pm). They meet with the Assistant Coaches and Aquatic Director from time to time to go over how the team is doing and set goals. They assist the Aquatic Director in making sure all athletes have current medical forms. They prepare the meet line-ups for our Area Meet and Sectional Competition. They prepare the Summer Games entries and submissions so the athletes can participate. They attend all three meets between April and May and act as Head Coach at the meet (i.e.., directing volunteer coaches, swimmers and attending scratch meetings). Practices are held at the Deer Path branch pool in Flemington and run from September through June.

Description
We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors. That’s why, at the Y, strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work side by side with our neighbors in our community to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Financial assistance keeps the Y available for kids and families who need us most. We count on the generosity of our members and community to help people of all ages and from all walks of life be more healthy, confident, connected and secure.
Currently, the YMCA operates two wellness and fitness centers, youth sports, adult fitness and sports, youth and adult aquatics, three day camps, family programs, teen leadership and senior recreation and fitness programs. The Y oversees preschool programs and school aged child care consisting of before and after school programs throughout the county.
The YMCA represents one of the few places in the community where people of different cultures, religious, ethnic origins and income levels come together on an equal footing for the good of all.
