The Longest Day (TLD) is a team event on June 21 to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. Held annually on summer solstice, the duration of this event symbolizes the challenging journey of those living with the disease and their caregivers. Teams create their own experience as they fundraise and participate in an activity to honor those facing the disease.
Team Task Force Volunteers are needed, in preparation for and on event date of June 21st, to recruit, engage and culitvate TLD team captains and teams. The Team Task Force members will coach teams in shaping their fundraising efforts, planning their activity(ies) for TLD, and brainstorming with Chapter staff on ways to take TLD 2017 to the next level, by spreading the word about the TLD initiative as well as the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association. Monthly meetings will be held primarily by conference call.
