PWH is in need of volunteers to help with our pick-ups in our box truck and van! This volunteer opportunity does involve heavy lifting, loading and unloading the truck (not just driving). Volunteers are paired together or with a staff member for pick-ups, and these are typically from healthcare facilities.
Not interested in driving? We are also looking for volunteers to be the "co-pilot" to help with the loading and unloading! You do not need a special drivers license for our vehicles but do need a clean driving record to be added to our insurance. This opportunity does need to be scheduled in advance- if you have regular availability that is always helpful! Pick-ups typically require a half day or full day depending on where they are located and take place Monday through Friday.
To start, please head to our VolunteerHub page to create an account and register for orientation. Once orientation is complete, you will be able to register for all events!

Mission Statement
To improve health care and reduce environmental impact by collecting surplus medical equipment and supplies and distributing them to communities in need globally and locally.
Description
Partners for World Health is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that collects usable medical supplies from healthcare facilities in Maine, NH, VT & MA which are being discarded due to government regulations and ships them to countries in need. In addition, we organize medical missions to Southeast Asia and Africa for doctors, nurses, non medical professionals and students. We strive to send a team of medical personnel to every country where we ship a container of medical supplies. We are committed to educating our community members about the importance of recycling and the disparities in healthcare around the world. We work with other organizations to share resources to better our communities at home as well as overseas.
