On the Tee Line

At First Tee, we help grow great kids through golf! First Tee is an innovative youth development program that combines character education with golf instruction for children 7 to 18. Classes are offered in multi-week sessions (Spring, Summer and Fall).

All classes are led by a First Tee trained Head Coach. Volunteer Coaches are needed to assist by reinforcing Head Coach instruction and promoting a safe, fun and encouraging learning environment for the kids. Golf experience is helpful, but not required! Just a want to see kids succeed!

Volunteer Coach opportunities are available at 8 area locations (Reeves GC (Lunken Airport); Meadow Links (Winton Woods); Neumann (West Side); Golf Courses of Kenton County, Armco Park (Butler Co.), Shaker Run GC, Indian Ridge GC and Potters Park. Schedules vary by session and location. Spring & Fall classes meet weekdays after school/early evening and Saturday mornings. Summer classes are scheduled throughout the day, Mon-Sat. Visit our website for a full schedule! www.FirstTeeGCNKY.org.

Mission Statement

At First Tee, we believe in developing experiences that are just as fun as they are meaningful, where kids feel excited to grow, safe to fail, and better equipped for whatever comes their way next. Our First Tee coaches seamlessly integrate the game of golf with a life skills curriculum to create active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience.

Description

For over 15 years, our chapter has been serving children ages 5 to 18 years old residing in Hamilton, Clermont, Butler, Warren, Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties. We offer programs on golf courses, in school and with other community youth organizations.

All of our programs give kids a safe place to grow with coaches trained to create supportive environments and who help them navigate challenges during golf lessons but more importantly, off the course. Kids take the lessons they learn in the program with them into everything they do. Through our personal growth and junior golf programs, we see kids’ self-confidence grow tremendously, inspiring more active participation in leadership opportunities and events, community involvement, and college scholarships.
