Support for Families is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to help us at our Information & Resource Conference (IRC) on Saturday, March 11th. The IRC is a FREE conference for families of children with disabilities, the professionals who work with them, and members of the community. Over 800 people, including families, professionals, presenters, exhibitors and volunteers, attended this annual conference last year.
We are preparing for the annual Information and Resource Conference (IRC) and we would like to invite you to join us! The IRC is a free conference for families of children with special needs, professionals, and community advocates. We expect to see 700+ participants this year.
We have several ways to support the event!
Event Volunteers - We will be the volunteers that keep the event running smoothly. Whether it’s supporting the check-in process, the commissary, or in individual workshops. We will be the volunteers that ensure those families, professionals, and advocates are able to absorb as much as possible at this incredible event. We will have two shifts:- Morning: 8:30 am - 1:00 pm
- Afternoon: 12:00 - 5:00 pm
- Or: Superstar shift: All Day 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. You’ll be a star in my eyes J
- Caregiving Volunteers - Caregiving Volunteer will facilitate a free play environment for kids whose parents are in attendance at the conference. You will be accompanied by staff at all times. This volunteer opportunity requires reference checks. The shifts times are the same as event volunteers.
If you are interested in either opportunity please fill out the Volunteer Application as well as the Volunteer Support Form
