The MVNC Friends of the Garden Volunteer helps in our xeriscape demonstration garden throughout the year. Volunteer activities include weeding the garden, replace or reposition signage, be an ambassador for the Nature Center and answers questions about plants in the garden (utilizing the plant profile binders in the Nature Center offices if needed), report any problems with the plants/garden, remove sticks, leaves and trash from the garden areas, prune along trails and cutback plants in the fall or winter.

The principal time of year that volunteers are needed is during the main growing season, late spring through summer.
