The Needham Community Farm provides educational opportunities and grows fresh produce for those in need.

The Board of Directors is seeking board Members for the following positions:

Attorney to the Board: Adivse the board on business issues and strategic planning. Also help with farm liability procedures and huan resource issues.


Board Director of Operations: The person who lead in the repair of raised beds, contracts to get loan and wood chips. Farming, gardening, carpentry experience useful.

Board Director of Education: Someone who has experience in education and lead the board in current education programs and suggest projects for the future.

Board Director of Event Planning: Someone to take ownership of and drive our event planning. Two of these events have already been done and the template is in place.

New members would need to attend board meetings monthly at First Parish Church in Needham. Meetings typically occur on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 7-9 PM.

Ideal candidates will value the Farm's mission of developing sustainable agriculture and food justice. This is a great way to help a local non profit deliver its services to our community.

Norfolk County RSVP has volunteer opportunities for people aged 55 & over in 28 cities and towns at over 50 volunteer sites. Volunteer opportunities include mentoring pre-release inmates, tutoring elementary school children, drivers for Veterans, meals on wheels and food pantires, friendly visiting, non-profit support services and many more! N.C. RSVP will find the volunteer opportunity that best fits your interests & schedule and impacts the needs that are most critical to our county's communities. N.C. RSVP provides mileage reimbursement, accident & liability insurance, an invitation to our annual recognition event, monthly newsletters, orientation & training.
