Community Service Chairs researches, coordinates and manages the successful execution of diverse community service activities that can be accomplished in no more than a one-day time period.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Establish and maintain relationships with other agencies and organizations in community to meet community needs and to ensure that services are not duplicated.
- Research and analyze member or community needs to determine program directions and goals.
- Schedule and repeat successful previous CSC activities that generated strong membership interest and satisfaction, and which remain within the focus areas. Events to be a balance of current FFSC partners, past CSC partners and new CSC partners.
- Work with leaders from other committees (Development, Programs, Community Service and Communications) to ensure cross committee collaboration and a holistic approach to community involvement.
- Solicit in-kind event underwriting as often as possible.
- Plan and coordinate CSC committee activities in accordance with the FFSC Strategic Plan and focus areas of Education/Literacy, Health, Community Engagement and Leadership.
- Monitor and update CSC event page on FFSC website.
- Write monthly articles, eNewsletter submissions as needed in conjunction with Committee for website, social media and newsletters
- Prepare promotional materials for CSC events, such as seat sheets or announcements at General Meeting.
- Work with Advisors and assist members in reviewing member obligations.
