Volunteer Research Associates work directly with Mind Renewed’s president/executive director, its Manager of Volunteer and Member Development, and its Volunteer Co-ordinator. They are the primary link between MR’s volunteers, its board, and its advisors. Among the personal traits sought are identification with MR’s mission, good communications and motivational skills (particularly with volunteers), reliability, and the ability to break down, assign and track assignments across a number of projects. (Minds Renewed is the public name for Transformed Minds: The Consortium for a Christlike Response to Mental Health.)

Mission Statement

Minds Renewed (formerly Transformed Minds) honors God by serving those impacted by mental health concerns. Formed in 2013 after 4 years of study, this national mental health ministry is working primarily through the internet to inspire those needing help, inform them of the resources available, and provide the connections needed to reach those resources.

Description

With plans to grow to 12,000 consortium members by the end of 2021, Minds Renewed (formerly Transformed Minds) is assembling the leaders of an array of other mental health ministries, churches and para-church ministries; clergy, church leaders, counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, and other physicians and health professionals; educators, writers, journalists, researchers, and advocates; and administrators and other leaders of governmental and non-governmental health-focused organizations. As it serves, MR is providing a forum where people from a range of professional and theological perspectives can share their thoughts on the meaning of a Christlike response to mental health. Together these hand-selected consortium members are honoring God by serving those impacted by mental health concerns.
