The FIRST Robotics Competition combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Under strict rules, limited resources, and time limits, teams of 25 students or more are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. It’s as close to "real-world engineering" as a student can get. Volunteer at our annual robotics competition and help these students demonstrate what their robots can do!
We need a variety of types of event volunteers to help run the Colorado Regional FIRST Robotics Competition at the Univerity of Denver Ritchie Center (Magness Arena). Some roles require full or multi-day commitments (i.e. robot inspections, referees, field reset, queuing) but we have roles that can be one day or less like crowd control, safety glasses attanedant, field assembly and field disassembly. To register as a volunteer please go to https://my.usfirst.org/frc/tims/site.lasso and list the times you are available and the rolls you are interested in, and one of our volunteer coordinators will confirm with you. All volunteer roles are listed once you register in the volunteer system.
