ORGANIZATION: Hospice of the Chesapeake

We are seeking engaged, creative indiviudals to join our phinanthropic planning committees for our large-scale events!

Hospice of the Chesapeake created Hospice Hundred to educate the next generation of philanthropists about Hospice of the Chesapeake, to develop financial resources to support programs, to recruit volunteers to accomplish these goals, and to have fun while supporting hospice. Hospice Hundred hosts a variety of "fun" events annually, including Fashion for a Cause, Bowie Bays ox Chesapeake Kids Night, Santa Con, and other social events. All funds raised by Hospice Hundred support the Chesapeake Kids program.

The committee meets once per month on a continuing annual basis (alternating mornings and evenings typically). Attendance at all meetings is not required as we send out detailed notes with request for specific tasks. Tasks include, but are not limited to, securing auction items, soliciting donations of cash and in-kind support (i.e. sponsorships or donations of in-kind services such as food, photography, beverages, etc.).

Desirable skills include: event planning knowledge or desire to learn - including registration of attendees, set-up and preparation of auction items and other displays, creativity of décor and themes for events. Other desired skills include attention to detail, outgoing nature or willingness to approach community members for support and act as an ambassador for the program.
