Anne Springs Close Greenway Trail Workday Volunteers will work with Greenway employees to ensure preservation and upkeep on our hiking, biking and horseback riding trails. There will also be trail volunteer leadership opportunities available.
The meeting location changes month to month. Please check the Greenway's Website or Facebook for more information. Be ready at 8:45am, so we can get at least 2 hours of work in. The Greenway staff will provide plenty of tools, so you'll just need water, snack food, gloves and sturdy shoes or boots. A small backpack is handy for hiking into the trail.

Mission Statement
To provide stewardship and protect the cultural, ecological and scenic features of the land, while offering recreational and educational opportunities that promote the health and wellness of the community.
Description
Leroy Springs & Company has been providing recreational and educational opportunities to the communities surrounding Springs Industries facilities for over 60 years. In 1995, the Anne Springs Close Greenway, a 2,100 acre nature preserve in Fort Mill, South Carolina, was dedicated to the public to serve as a natural buffer from urban development and a place for countless activities - from hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding, to picnics, kayaking and more.
The land was donated by the children of Anne Springs Close to honor her lifelong commitment to recreation and the environment. The Greenway is a not-for-profit entity which receives no ongoing tax dollars to build, maintain or operate its programs, trails and facilities. Owned and managed by Leroy Springs & Company, the Greenway is funded in part by memberships, program fees and generous donations from individuals and corporations.
