Volunteer victim advocates provide support and assistance to victims of domestic violence who apply for Civil Protection Orders through the Domestic Relations court. In addition to assisting with the application and court hearing process, advocates provide emotional support, safety planning, and resource referrals. Advocates complete a comprehensive training program and shadow staff members to ensure that each volunteer is confident in providing services.
