Our friendly visitor volunteers offer friendship and companionship to patients who are at the end of their life. Visitors have the chance to socialize with the patients and their families and help to put a smile on their face in their last days.
Volunteers given free training. Some travel is required. No on-hands care. Schedule and location are completely flexible and up to you!

Hospice focuses on enhancing the quality of life, rather than length of life. It neither hastens nor postpones death; it affirms life and regards dying as a normal process.
The hospice program stresses human values beyond the physical needs of the patient. Hospice ensures patients spend their final days in dignity and comfort. ProMedica / Heartland Hospice's program utilizes a team approach to meet the physical, social and spiritual needs of our patients and their families.
