Help enhance habitat for the endangered pallid manzanita. We will be clearing debris and monitoring our germination plots.
Please wear long sleeves, pants, and sturdy shoes. We will provide gloves, tools, and materials to sanitize your shoes before entering the work area.
If you have not volunteered with FOSC in the past year, please sign and bring the FOSC and City of Oakland volunteer waiver forms (http://www.documents.sausalcreek.org/FOSC_City_Waiver.pdf). Anyone under 18 will also need a parental signature.
Please RSVP to Michelle Krieg at field@sausalcreek.org.
Rain a day before or during the event, or wet conditions on site will cancel.

Formed in 1996, the Friends of Sausal Creek is a group of community members protecting Sausal Creek at a grassroots level. The Friends recognize that citizen participation, from residents to decision-makers, teachers, and students, is critical for building long-term commitment to protecting Sausal Creek as a natural resource for the greater Oakland community.
Description
Friends of Sausal Creek is a volunteer-based, nonprofit, community organization dedicated to promoting awareness, appreciation, and stewardship of Oakland’s Sausal Creek Watershed, which drains to the San Francisco Bay. Formed in 1996, the Friends recognize that citizen participation-from residents to decision-makers, teachers, and students-is critical for building a long-term commitment to protecting Sausal Creek as a natural resource for the greater Oakland community.
