Dinner volunteers

We need YOU and your friends, co-workers, scout troop, bible study group, moms group - just about any group can be a HUGE help! We need volunteers to provide dinner for the moms and kids at our Emergency Shelter Monday through Thursday nights. (You can have as few as 1-2 people or up to 12!)

Volunteers are responsible for providing enough food for at least 40 people - including yourselves - share a meal with the families you are supporting: -) You may prepare the meal at home or prepare it in our fully equipped kitchen. You will also need to bring paper plates, utensils, cups, and beverages.

This is a great opportunity to interact with our families, share your story, and learn theirs. By providing a meal you are helping Bethany House keep our food costs down but most importantly, when you volunteer to help our families, you are providing more than just a good meal....you are making a valuable difference by modeling a healthy vision for a better future for our moms and kids.

You also have the option of staying after dinner to provide child care (7-8:15pm) while the moms in shelter attend the necessary life skills classes to get them back on their feet and on to long-term self-sufficiency. YOU can make a big difference in their lives!
