Do you love history? Are you as impressed with the beauty of Aldie Mansion, home to William and Martha Mercer, as we are? If so, come out and learn about the Aldie Mansion and the Mercer family so that you can become a docent and lead tours. Training involves shadowing on at least 2 tours and giving 2 practice tours. Notes and additional tour materials are provided. Additional training will occur throughout the year.

When: (Variable, but around your schedule. About 2 hours for each tour.) An initial training session will be held in March of 2020. Docent interviews will begin in January of 2020. Apply now!

Based in Doylestown, PA, and serving Bucks and Montgomery counties, Heritage Conservancy’s mission is to protect and care for the lands of our region; to engage with and share the history that unfolded on these lands; and to connect people with both.

To date, Heritage Conservancy has facilitated the preservation of over 16,000 acres of open space, farmland, wildlife habitat, and important watershed areas in Bucks and Montgomery counties. This preserved land helps to protect water quality and the quality of life for your community. The Conservancy has also had 40 successful nominations to the National Register of Historic Places for historic districts and properties.
