Help the City of Phoenix Public Works Department reduce what goes into the landfill and keep our environment clean. We will be at the Laveen Barbecue on February 21st promoting Zero Waste initiatives.
"Zero Waste" means that NOTHING from this event will go into a landfill! We need a team of energetic volunteers to serve as educators. Our volunteers will be teaching event-goers what can be recycled and composted. Education is a key assett in Zero Waste and we cannot do it without our volunteers. No recycling/sustainability experience is needed! We will teach you everything you need to know.
Volunteers have the option of choosing the 10am-1pm shift or the 1pm-4pm shift. We also welcome small and large groups!
