Volunteer in the Circulation Department of Braille Institute's unique library. Duties include sorting our book collection, shelving and preparing audio book cartridges to be mailed to blind and visually impaired library patrons.
Volunteers in Braille Institute's Library's Reader Services Department will mail out packets, call library patrons with information, and assist with other clerical duties. A pleasant phone manner is required and biligual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
No experience necessary - just a willingness to help and attention to detail. Various 2-4 hour shifts are available, Monday through Friday.

Braille Institute offers a variety of services to people who are blind and visually impaired, from mobility and technology training, to low vision rehabilitation and home visits, to arts and exercise classes, to a vast library of braille and audio titles for every age, and more. Each year, we help tens of thousands of people regain and maintain their independence. Thanks to generous donations, Braille Institute services are available free of charge.
