San Francisco Heritage is recruiting volunteer docents for the Haas-Lilienthal House. Built in 1886, The Haas-Lilienthal House is the only Victorian-era residence regularly open to the public in San Francisco. It was entrusted to San Francisco Heritage, a nonprofit historic preservation organization, in 1973. Volunteer Docents guide visitors from all over the world through this one of a kind landmark sharing stories about the Victorian Age, 1906 earthquake, and Jewish immigrant heritage. Docents also lead tours for our Heritage Hike programs open to all third-grade students free from San Francisco Public Schools. Volunteers are truly essential to our operation, and volunteering with Heritage is a rewarding and fun experience
