The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. As this natural disaster unfolds, the staff here at VolunteerMatch is doing its part to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you are prepared and safe. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know about the most effective ways to contribute.
We are in need of outgoing and friendly individuals who can assist our staff with helping customers, merchandising items for sale, and general up-keep of our sales floor. **18 years and older**
We are seeking volunteers who enjoy interacting with all types of people and can operate in the store during high traffic and low traffic times. We would like to create a team of individuals who can commit regularly and contribute to making this crucial part of our organization a success. Most importantly, we need individuals who are passionate about Habitat's vision of "a world where everyone has a decent place to live." ReStore exists to support Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley and their home building program in our community. Please sign up online and attend our next volunteer training, so you can jump right in!
Interested volunteers are required to register on the Volunteer Hub through our website at www.habitatlvrestore.org. All volunteers must attend a ReStore training and complete an online safety course the first day they come out to volunteer. Candidates will sign up for open volunteer events on the Volunteer Hub. Please inquire within.
Volunteer opportunities are Wednesday-Saturday
Helpful ReStore first day tips: Once you have signed up on the Volunteer Hub we ask all volunteers to please enter via theDonation Center door (green door) and sign in on the volunteer sign in sheet.
