Calling all dog lovers!

Grants are a huge source of funding for nonprofit organizations but they require some skill and experience in order to increase the chances of getting funded. We need a volunteer who knows how to navigate this process. This volunteer will:

  • Familiarize yourself with Beau's Wish programs, goals and financial needs.
  • Work closely with the grants project manager to learn about available opportunities and requirements of potential funding sources.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage active grant proposals.
  • Develop templates to streamline the grant proposal process.
  • Work with the grants project manager monitoring the grants calendar to ensure timely submission of letters of inquiry, grant proposals and all relevant reports.

We anticipate applying for approximately 3-4 grants per year so applicants can guage the time committment accordingly. Our estimate is approximately 12 hours per grant application. Applications will be spread out over the course of one year.

Please complete an online volunteer application via our website at www.BeausWish.org. If you don't hear back from us within 48 hours, please check your spam folder!

Mission Statement

Our mission is: To provide in-home rehabilitation for homeless dogs suffering with anxiety related issues through a specialized foster program and then adopt them to forever homes. To finance veterinary care including spaying and neutering for homeless dogs. To provide transportation for dogs from shelters to rescues, and from foster homes to forever homes. To provide training consultations in an effort to solve behavior issues that could result in someone surrendering a dog. To sponsor educational programs for the community about the mutual benefits of the human-animal bond, the importance of spaying and neutering, responsible pet ownership, and the humane treatment of all dogs.

Description

Beau's Wish is a volunteer based, non- profit organization that provides a specialized rehabilitation foster program in middle Tennessee for rescue dogs suffering with anxiety, fears and phobias as a result of abuse and/or neglect. Dogs enrich and enhance our lives in countless ways so we all share responsibility for their care and well-being. Beau’s wish is that people will work together to create a world in which all dogs are valued, and where every dog is treated with kindness and compassion in loving forever homes. When other humans let them down we won’t turn our backs on them, because in the heart of every stray lies the desire to be loved.
