The GoodSkills Literacy Corps is offering free training to volunteers seeking to join us in our mission to tutor adults. We will teach you lesson planning stretegies, show you online resources, and introduce you to our program as a whole. We also provide lunch!
In this day and age, basic literacy is an absolute requirement when applying for jobs, staying informed, and even receiving medical care. We at the GoodSkills Literacy Corps make it our mission to provide one-on-one tutoring services for any adult that needs help learning the basics of reading, writing, and math.
If you are at all interested in volunteering, or just want to know more about the program, please contact us at 540.371.3070, ext. 259. You can also e-mail us at americorps@fredgoodwill.org.
We hold volunteer trainings semi-regularly, so if you are unable to attend this one (on Saturday, February 10, 2018, from 9:00 - 2:00,) still contact us and we will notify you when our following training is scheduled.
Thanks,
The GoodSkills Literacy Corps Team
