The International Ocean Film Festival is seeking an experienced eNewsletter Editor!
At IOFF, we are united by a passion to protect our oceans, and we believe that the power of film is one of the best ways to bring people together and create change. Our mission is to save our oceans one film at a time.
The eNewsletter Editor is a key member of the Marketing Committee, which brings multiple disciplines together with the goal of promoting the IOFF year-round. The Marketing Committee meets on a monthly basis to discuss the overall marketing strategy and ensure cohesion across all platforms; website, printed collateral, social media and events - and we are a pretty lively group that enjoys a chance to hang out!
In this role particularly, you’ll work closely with the Executive Director and/or Marketing Committee Chair to draft content, design email templates, create visually appealing graphics ... and everything in between. Our e-newsletters is sent out on a monthly basis, with the occasional email news blasts. Ideally, you’re also interested the optimization of timely E-newsletter delivery and looking to uncover new opportunities that ultimately drive traffic to the IOFF website.
Requirements
2- 3 years experience writing copy for an eNewsletter
Available to meet deadlines that may fall on evenings and/or weekends
1-3 years of Mailchimp experience or other online newsletter marketing platforms
Graphic design interest/experience
Desire to better understand email marketing
- Passionate about the ocean & film

Description
The International Ocean Film Festival (IOFF), is the first and largest film festival focused on the ocean in the world.
As a year-round ocean conservation organization the IOFF produces a multipole day in person film and lecture event that promotes awareness around the health of our oceans, and call to actions to protect it. Film programs include award winning independent films of all genres, on stage discussions with filmmakers and content experts, creating a unique public forum on the environmental, social, and cultural importance of the ocean's ecosystems, habitats and its resources. The IOFF has five main education initiatives to fulfill its mission:- Global Online Student Ocean Film Program
- Free Student Ocean Film Field Trips
- International Student Film Competition
- International Traveling Program
- Annual Ocean Film Festival
IOFF will be celebrating it's 21st Anniversary on April 13-14, 2024 at Cowell Theater at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture in San Francisco, CA. With an expected attendance of 3,000 people, the IOFF serves as a beacon of hope and conversation for ocean lovers of all ages.
