The Alzheimer’s Association is looking for Young Professionals in the greater San Francisco area to assist in planning one of our newest fundraising events to bring awareness and education of Alzheimer’s, support our healthy body healthy brain program, and promote our women’s initiative to a younger demographic. Whether you are looking to meet young professionals, learn marketable skills, improve your resume, get in shape, or give back to the community, then this is the right committee for you!

RivALZ Blondes vs. Brunettes is a women’s flag football league and game to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. Practice begins in May and game day is in August. The volunteer committee meets monthly year round at the Alzheimer’s Association office.

The planning committee is responsible for the overall event experience and reaching fundraising goals. Committee roles include: fundraising and sponsorship, in-kind donations, game day logistics, volunteer management, advertising and marketing, player recruitment and management, and coaching. Men and women are encouraged to join the Committee and you do not need to play in the league to be a part of the planning committee.

Take the next step to tackle Alzheimer’s by joining the Young Professionals Planning Committee!

Email Katrina at kkretsch@alz.org for more information on meeting times and locations!

Mission Statement

The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research. Our mission: To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Our vision, A world without Alzheimer's disease.

Description

We provide programs and support services for patients, families, caregivers, and others in the San Francisco Bay Area affected by Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. Outside the federal government, the Alzheimer's Association is the largest research funder in the country and offers advocacy opportunities to make public policy change.

At the Alzheimer's Association, diversity and inclusion are vital to our mission. The Association leads strategic initiatives to support diversity and a culture of inclusivity. These strategic initiatives also strengthen outreach to all populations, providing communities with resources and support to address the Alzheimer’s crisis. By partnering with organizations locally and nationally to advance diversity and inclusion, the Association can broaden its reach in all communities.
