Position open for an online auction Manager, who will maintain donations through our auction system. The right person for the job needs to have strong communication skills, good sales sensibilities, consistent work ethic and the ability to stay focused on the goal of continued donations and auction results.

The job entails:

  • pitching to potential donors on a weekly basis
  • first point of contact for online customer support
  • scheduling auctions
  • oversee and troubleshoot online programs indlucing random checks of online sale sites for errors and omissions
  • thank you notes to donors and buyers
  • receipts to donors and buyers for tax deductions
  • information for listings through online channels including item description, pricing, and pictures as required.
  • manage donation listings and method of delivery to Silver Lining Villages for distribution to buyers
  • maintain records
  • field questions from potential, present and past donors
  • minimal 10 hours per week commitment for program momentum
  • must be prepared for a time commitment of at least one year for continuity of program
  • recommend improvements on procedures

Experience with online auctions and/or securing celebrity or corporate participation preferred.

Silver Lining Villages’ mission is to serve displaced and overwhelmed veterans; active service military and their families, to provide them with alternative means for dealing with Post Traumatic Stress, homelessness and joblessness. It is upon these premises that our life skills academy is built.

Description

Silver Lining Villages is a self-help life skills academy providing and teaching alternative stress reduction techniques, holistic services, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), and other non-invasive stress reduction modalities for post traumatic stress, military sexual trauma, and traumatic brain injury for active duty servicemen and servicewomen and their families, as well as United States Veterans. Since 2012, we have served over 500 Veterans through a combination of Skype sessions, retreats, workshops, group sessions, individual computer training and as a clearinghouse to other services.
