Come dig in the dirt with us and help us get our Education Garden ready for spring! Piedmont Park Conservancy’s garden is used as an educational tool to teach kids how the food we eat grows and what the plants that produce it looks like. New for 2017 - we're creating a pollinator garden!
Use your gardening skills for good and help us keep our Education Garden growing. We’re looking for 2-3 individuals to assist us with our Education Garden for 2-4 hours per week.
Volunteer Duties:
- Gardening experience preferred
- Planting (vegetables, herbs, etc.)
- Weeding
- Able to lift 20 pounds
- Willing to work outdoors (in very hot, cold or rainy weather)

Description
Piedmont Park Conservancy is the nonprofit organization, working with the City of Atlanta for the preservation of historic Piedmont Park. Since our inception in 1989, the Conservancy has successfully restored the historic portion of Piedmont Park. The Conservancy has raised and invested more than $60 million for park beautification, maintenance/security, programs, and also includes a 53-acre expansion of green space. The Piedmont Park Conservancy has successfully transformed the once dilapidated Park into the most visited in green space in Atlanta. The Conservancy currently manages more than 90 percent of the Park’s daily maintenance care and security.
