Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity works with low-income homeowners in the seven-county metro area to repair and maintain their homes. A Brush with Kindness (ABWK) helps ensure families are living in safe and well-maintained homes; keeps homeowners in their homes, protecting their financial investments; and restores homeowners' dignity and pride of homeownership. Partnering with a mix of organizations to identify struggling homeowners, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity provides the volunteers and resources to repair their homes. ABWK works year-round, serving about 125 families with 2,000 volunteers. A Brush With Kindness is looking for about 4 people to volunteer Tuesday - Friday this winter from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Locations vary around the Twin Cities metro area. The projects are small interior repairs. If you express interest here you'll get on a mailing list to be notified for future A Brush With Kindness home repair opportunities. We require a 1:4 ratio of adults to youth.
