City of Baytown Tourism Volunteers (Tourism Volunteer) perform one of the most important and far-reaching functions for the Baytown Tourism Office by introducing and deepening the experience of potential visitors to the Baytown Community. Tourism Volunteers have the opportunity to make our community a better place and to experience personal benefits. Studies have shown that volunteering increases personal happiness which also helps protect mental and physical health! We all have busy lives and it can be hard to find time to volunteer; but, the benefits of volunteering are enormous to you and your community!
Tourism Volunteers are enthusiastic people who act as liaisons between the City of Baytown Tourism Office and the general public. Tourism Volunteers must be committed, adaptable and dedicated to the program with a desire to share information about our Baytown Community with others!
Tourism Volunteers can contribute to the Tourism Volunteer Program in several ways:

- Taking part in community outreach or public speaking to local organizations, or/and
- Taking a shift to promote a tourism table or display at tradeshows, sales blitzes and expos.
