Spring Valley Community Center is seeking adults to work with children after school, assisting with homework, providing a positive environment for healthy fun and social activities. This requires a commitment of 1.5-4 hours a week. Spanish speaking is a plus.

We do require all volunteers to complete a background check and minor medical screening prior to serving, at no cost to the volunteer.

The County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation strives to have a park and recreation system that is the pride of San Diego County. We offer camping, fishing, boating, hiking, picnicking, weddings, interpretive programs, nature study, volunteer opportunities, trails, senior centers, and youth programs. We serve a population of approximately 3,000,000 within 4,200 square miles. We have over 90 locations, including campgrounds, picnic parks, open space preserves, historic sites, community centers, teen centers, sports complexes, local parks and wetlands.
