Come over to the Upham Greenhouse to help us clean, plant seeds, transplant seedlings, and maintain the greenhouse crops through a variety of activities, including watering, harvesting, and pest control. This is a great opportunity to learn more about gardening and make a positive contribution to the food security of our community since the majority of all produce generated in the campus garden is donated to the Whitewater Food Pantry. We also propagate and sell houseplants throughout the year to help us fund our garden mission. Feel free to ask your garden-related questions while you work and someone on our garden team will do their best to answer them. We meet in the Upham Hall Greenhouse, which can be accessed at the end of the hallway past the Physics Department on the south end of the first floor of Upham. We work primarily in Greenhouse #1 (Student Research greenhouse) or in the staging area at the opposite end of the greenhouse

Please email sustainability@uww.edu if you are interested in signing up for our email list, which includes timely updates for changes in our volunteer schedule and a regular newsletter featuring different volunteer activities, spotlights on our volunteers, and upcoming opportunties.

If you are reading this opportunity during the summer or fall semester, please check our Garden Laborer opportunity for more information on how you can help us with our current growing season.
